I have a 2001 V92 and the local mechanic did a quick check on the noise on the rear. He put new pads on the bike but he heard a knocking in the engine when it was under load, but the bike is running good and is not using oil the bike has 18k on odmertet. Is there any issues with engine bearing going bad or excessive knocking noises ?

HI Bill, while the old "hammer" motors were never quiet, they should have the sound you describe. You might use the old screwdriver stethoscope trick to isolate where the knocking is coming from on the motor. Those motors generally are bullet proof and have logged tens of thousands of miles without incident.

Does she seem low on power?
