NM/AZ/NV/UT/CO Ride - Fourth day (18-May-2010)

So, we stayed in Show Low, AZ last night. No one really liked the hotel, especially the two ladies traveling in our group. The guys didn't really care, but that is the difference between the fairer sex and those of us not-so-fair...

However, we had two things that happened to us while staying at this flee-bag motel, 1) Steve got a nice long kiss on the cheek as we fumbled to get our cameras turned on and focused, and 2) we spoke to a local who recommended a ride down the Salt River Canyon to Globe. Well, the guy was right. It was a very nice route, as this photo shows:

We emerged from the canyon and stopped by some old abandoned buildings for a break...

Our ride up toward Flagstaff included a stop by Theodore Roosevelt Lake and admired the flowering cactus...

And...

Of course we found some pie in Payson, AZ. Steve and I, of course, chose some rhubarb. It was by far the best!

We did not take Pink Jeep Tours at Sedona, although Greg was somewhat interested in the Pink Java... The rocks in the backdrop were stunning! It was hard to get a good picture without a wide-angle lens...

We spent the night at the Embassy Suites in Flagstaff, and enjoyed a swim in the pool.
