Today is the 6-year anniversary of buying my '03 Classic Cruiser, but 9 years on a Victory. I started out on a 2000 black & grey v92c and then in ‘03 got the “flame” cruiser I ride today from Zack & Rita of Zack's Vtwin
. Neither bike has been perfect but they've been close! Both have been very easy to maintain and have always stood out from the other cruisers. With the help of Lloydz Motorworks
, I have "enhanced" the performance of this bike and don't think twice about using it for long trips. While I only have 29k on the bike, it feels like I should have much more considering all the x-country trips I've taken. I ride a lot around home 8 months out of the year but it’s never more than 20 mile jaunts. Anyway, this time of year lends itself to reflection while the bike sits undercover.
I have to be satisfied not only with the bike, but with the paths it has led me down (and I don't mean just the pavement I've followed). Before 2000, I had never joined a club or posted on a web forum. Now, because of my Victory, I've designed and run multiple websites, all geared toward Victorys! Along the way I’ve had to teach myself new & interesting web technologies and social marketing strategies. It's intriguing how life follows roads you never would have imagined but for being open to a journey and curious for the next curve!
