In the Australian Cruiser Magazine 2012 Vol.4 No.2 they did an article on the Michelin Commander 2 tyre, stating that you can get about 40,000 km out of it. I will be due for tyres before riding down to Tassie in February 20013 and checking to see if anyone has tried these tyres and especially in the wet etc? Also not sure if they would have a size suitable for the Cross Country.

On 4th July 2012 I took my 2010 Cross Country for a 3200km ride travelling from North Brisbane Qld Australia to Winton via Cunnamulla and then returning via Emerald, Roma,Yarraman areas.
First stage was about 1735km and took just under 20 hours all up.
I hit a total of 4 Eastern Greys Kangaroo's approx. weight around 50 - 60kg each.
