X Bike tail light

Hi all, has anyone out there had a Cross bike LED taillight partially fail, and found someone to cut it open and repair it? My HardBall light has failed for the top three quarters of the LEDs, after a walking pace trail ride drop, with the occasional full recovery that lasts for a kilometre or so. I'm compensating for the moment by mounting the Cross Country tour trunk I have, but don't want to keep it on forever.Also, is anyone running a sumpguard or skidplate?  If so, locally made,…See More

Keeping X bikes running

Hi, a tip for those planning on keeping their Cross Country, Cross Roads, HardBall orVision running to the bitter end.  I imagine that only dedicated bitter enders come here now.My HardBall chewed out the spherical bearing on the top end of the rear suspension pushrod, at 85,000 kms.  Apparently this is only available as part of a full assembly, rocker arm (with needle roller bearings), pushrod with top spherical bearing and 2 spacers, $800 quoted price from Brisbane Victory.A quick wander…See More
