Interested to see if any Vic riders in the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas would like to start a new "Local Club" of "The Victory Motorcycle Club". Please go to the VMC website www.thevmc.com and take a look around.
To start a new local club through the VMC requires five (5) Victory Owners and membership in the VMC.
LC's belonging to the VMC are very active with day, weekend and extended weekend rides. This coming year's regional meet will be in Northern Idaho and National will be in New York. Nationals have switched yearly between east and west coast. There will also be a "meet in the middle" in K Falls this year. It is a meet between the NW And SW regions and who ever else would like to show up. We also enjoy a Victory camp out in eastern Oregon. There is also a factory trip being planned.
For more information drop me an e-mail and I will pass on a contact number.
The Shanghai Victory Riders won't be meeting December 10 - we cancelled the meeting since we're having our annual Christmas party that evening. Our January meeting will be January 14. Wanted to make sure you were in the loop.
I'll let our President, Jim Peschka, know you'll pop in to the December meeting. Joining the VMC is pretty cheap, and there are lots of benefits, including access to the forums - a great resource for everything Victory. I think it's $15 for the initial year, and $8 each year thereafter. Just go to www.thevmc.com. If you'd like to join the Shanghai Victory Riders, our membership is separate, at $25 per calendar year. You'd just need to fill out a membership application/liability waiver and give it to the secretary at a meeting. The form should be on the main page of shanghaivictoryriders.com. You might want to keep an eye on our home page (you can join the site if you'd like - just put 'pending' in the required field for VMC number). If the meeting is cancelled because of weather, or pushed back an hour, it'll be announced on this site. Give me a yell if you do decide to join our site - I have to manually approve applications (we were getting spammed by China).
Just give me a holler if you have any questions.
I look forward to meeting you in December! Fingers crossed for good weather so we can ride.
We absolutely would love for you to join us. We meet the 2nd Saturday of the month (making the next meeting November 12), 9:00 a.m. Bill’s Steak House - 10227 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, Oregon ( .4 miles east of I-205). If the weather is nice, a number of us go for a ride afterwards. If you're interested in joining the Shanghai Victory Riders, you need to be a member of the VMC first - but we also welcome 'guest' riders who aren't members (you'd need to sign a liability waiver). You're more than welcome to attend the meeting, see what we're all about, and join us on a ride as a guest if you'd like. We're a pretty friendly bunch.
We're an active club - we have lots of organized rides throughout the year including hosting the NW Regional Meet next year, so you will have opportunity to also meet Victory riders from across the country.
Our website is shanghaivictoryriders.com. We've limited registration to members of the VMC, but as long as you have a VMC number you can join the site as a member. You don't have to be a member of the Shanghai Victory Riders. Registration is free and you'll then have access to photos and more information about the club.
Let me know if you're thinking of attending the meeting as a guest and I'll give the President a heads up. And please let me know if you have any questions.
I do apologize that I was slow to reach out to you. Hope to see you soon!
Hey Jeff, we buy the bikes from the store in Aus but we put on extras from the States, mainly victoryonly, that store has almost everything you can customise a bike with. 90% of the chrome on my bike came from that store.
Over here we ride most weekends together, we have a pretty big group that like getting out on our bikes. Last weekend we rode to a 'Border bike fest', did about 1200 kays. Great bunch of blokes, awesome machines.
G'day Jeff, our bikes do look alot alike. Everything i have put on has come from victoryonly(in the USA). We only have afew stores selling Victory bikes over here, about one in each state. And my closest store charges like a wounded bull. All the boys who have one buy off the net, its cheaper but we have to wait for delivery, which can take up to 10 weeks.
