Hello all. I'm a new Victory Vision Owner form E-WA State (sept 08). So far i have really enjoyed my ride and cant wait to to start to put the miles on this new ride. I look forward to meeting and chatting with you all here.
Hey Chuck sorry about not seeing your post sooner!! As I get older I seem to see less and less, it is really tough as I have bad eye sight to start with!!!!!! The only thing I have done to the pipes is install the Tail Gunner Tips, I do not like loud pipes plus I leave for work real early some days and don't want to tick off the neighbors.
Sorry that is one size I don't have any more of. Last one got shipped this week to Arizona. I do have XL's but they are not a loose fitting t-shirt so that most likely won't work for you.
The spyder is a blast to ride. It is a high performance V-twin at just under 1,000 cc. She takes off the line almost like a sport bike. I have put roughly around 400 miles on it. I just borrow it now and then from the dealership i work at. My wife is planning on getting the one with the electronic transmission next Dec. But with me and my wife on the back, i came off an entrance ramp on to interstate traffic and nailed it. I quickly let off the throttle since i hit 95 MPH before i knew what happened. Great little ride, and a lot fo extras coming out in the aftermarket for it. I know Corbin and Givi make hard bags for it and i am sure there is a drivers back rest and another set of handle bars in the works somewhere.
The t-shirts where a one time deal for anyone that pre-ordered them. I did however get some extra ones made up. Depending on your size I may have one for you. They are $20 each plus $10 shipping if you are interested.
I just love the chrome on black. I'm still waiting for my dealer to get all the chrome before I purchase it and install any of it. As for my windshield, it isn't dark it's clear, it just looks dark in the picture because of the angle. As for the drink holder I just used a longer u-bolt to mount it to the handle bars and I cut off the top of a old water bottle, drilled a hole and used a nut to bolt it to the camera mount I had for the ram mount. Nothing fancy but it works
Haven't done any changes to the exhaust other than the tail gunner tips. I leave for work VERY early in the morning some days and do not want to tick off the neighbors!!! Never cared too much for the loud pipes on any of my rides, my hearing is bad enough after 24 years around helicopters so anything loud is not cool for these tired old ears! I see you are from Washington state, I was born in Renton (many years ago!) and have driven through a time or two but will certainly make a plan to ride that part of the country in the future. If all goes as planned I can retire in six years and my plan is to get on the bike with absolutely no itinerary and just rid for a couple months. Can't Wait!!!!
