Take a look at the photos that Jeff & Jeff posted with the milage. I thought it was a pretty cool observation!

Higgins Open House

I plan on going, but I have a few things to do Sat. am. I should be able to leave my house around 10:30, to be at Higgins for noon.

I think it was Eric that asked how they rifled the cannon barrels. I just watched "Gettysburg" from the History HD show they made. They used twisted metal bars that formed the shape of the barrel and then wrapped 4-1/2 inch wide iron straps around them. What appears as a solid barrel is built in pieces. Neat stuff.

Good show, adds well to what we saw there.

I am back as well. To tired to write last night but I made it. Great time and good memories. Next year the northern states. Maybe Alaska! Actually I dodn't mind the warm weather so I am up for anything.

The Eagle has landed! 2429 miles. 48 Hours 38 minutes of actual riding time.

Great time, had a lot of fun. Next trip, lets go someplace cooler!
