Glad you got to go for a ride. I also got a ride in yersterday, with my wife on her 500 Ninja, and my son rode for the first time with his new permit on my wifes 650 V-Star. It was our first family ride.
WOW now thats a great day!!! I was out on long Island for the day with the other half. I was so sorry I missed the day!! Man it was perfect.
I went for a ride today, about 48 degrees and a lot of fun. I was at the shop today to do a little work but had to run a few errands. My little honey whispered in my ear to take her, she said she had plenty of room, so instead of disapointing her I put my helmet and gloves on and warmed her up. I went a couple of miles to the bank, another mile to the shoe store to have my riding boots re-soled, and 1/4 mile to the hardware store. I was going to stop at the Subway near the bank for lunch but missed the turn. I went around the block to Guilford then left to North Branford and right turn back to subway. About 25 or so miles of bliss.
If the weather is like that tomorrow I am going out for a longer ride. I have a little bit of work to do in the am first.
John, are you interested in taking a spin?
Mike, that sounds like a good ride. Keep me in mind. John, I did the Dragon the same time you did, they had it closed at the rock slide. We pass through, we've never stayed there.
I want to make a run to upstate New Hampshire to inspect a piece of land I have in Lisbon to take some photos. It's about 4 hrs there and I'd like to make a run back through the Kancamagus hwy then down through Laconia back to 93. Makes for a long day but it's a great ride through the pass.
Hey Rick, how many times have you done the Dragon? I have done it once but headed for a second. Do you stay at Deals gap or just head through? Last time we got there late and couldn't spend as much time there as we wanted. Oh and the darn rock slide cut off 1/4 of the way past the dam.
Hey guys. I also won't be available for a NC/SC trip. I also ride with family, and we are heading for Helen, Georgia in May, hitting the Dragon again, and catching Rolling Thunder in DC day before Memorial Day. Looking foward to catching up with you guys for a day ride. Come on spring!!!!! Be safe, Rick
Hi Mike, Thanks great looking forum. I have friends that live in Greenville SC also thats some great riding! I have scheduled for my yearly 3 trips this year, The dragon's tail for spring, Nova Scotia for Mid Summer and Maine for Fall. I have a group of family members that I ride with on the trips. They usually set the runs. So I'll be out for a NC/SC run but thanks for the invite. But shorter day runs I'd be all about.
Hi John, welcome to the group. Nice bike you have, where did you buy it? I have some friends in North and South Carolina I was visiting last week and they want to meet in VA to do some riding this spring. There are three from SC and one from NC. This trip is a definate and I will be emailing them today so they can let me know from experience there where we should go. If you and Rick are interested let me know if there are any better dates for you so I can plan it. I have a pretty flexible schedule so its easy for me to line up free days.
We ought to get together for cofee one day since we are only a few minutes apart.
