Victory Riders:

We received a question on our Facebook page yesterday asking why Victory does not have a iPhone application.  I turned the question back to Vern (who asked), and I would love to get your input as well.  If you could design the ideal Victory mobile application, what would you want in it?  What would give you the biggest benefit on the road, or in the service of your bike.  How about maps, etc.?

We want to know, so chime in.

Thanks,

Dave

My two cents...the application should be able to do the following.
list all dealers in the world, their phone numbers, email, address and maps to the location....ideally dial when selected, ideally map based on my gps location at the time I do the look up

allow me to keep maintenance records in a central location including what was done, cost and technician and service department info such as name and address ..if it could tie it to CARFAX or similar service that would be good. Thinking ahead when or if I sell to provide records to new owner

Offer road conditions and construction (warnings) information so I can plan accordingly

Offer weather conditions and forecast based on location and have a mechanism to look at way points when selected

provide historical information on all model years, engine sizes and details for common used components like tire size, belt size, oil and fluid types part numbers from Victory

have a mechanism to renew my VRA membership log my details and provide me numbers for road side assistance

that was a quick list...give me time to really think it through though

Outstanding list, thank you!

Dave - go to the iTunes App store and search for Harley Davidson apps. There are at least a 1/2 dozen. Check them out. You'll get a good sense of where Victory should start as far as features. John Rollins outlined many of them in his reply.

The very least I would look for is dealer listing/location/mapping. Next would be localized roadside service phone numbers, trip planning, parts listings, and simple road-side repair instructions.

Thirdly, a way to record waypoints or keep track of the route you've ridden.
