Anyone had experience with installation of Vance and Hines pipes and the subsequent tune? I have a pair of short radius (LOUD) pipes on their way and I am fitting to my 08 Vegas. I have spoken with the dealer and they say a tune is NZ $400, then I spoke with an Australian service manager who said I may not have to do much in the way of tuning. I have heard that if you disconnect the oxygen sensor on the exhaust it richen it up a bit and that sorts most of the problems.....any clues?

If the bike has been tuned with stage one victory pipes, not the standard pipes that come with a new bike, you shouldn,t have a problem with the short radius pipes.

I put a pair of Freedom sweepers i purchased of Rollies in Brisbane on a Vegas that was allready tuned to stage one pipes.

No problem, that is 10000 kms later.

I wasn't aware V&h made exhausts for victory's? Ive looked on their website and nowhere mentions victory's, have you got a link?

They are not V&H, pipes Freedom pipes.Conquest

For some reason i couldn,t copy the link.Just look up Conquest customs.

If the bike is tuned to stage one {not standard] the aftermarket pipes should work fine.
