I noticed mt speedo stopped working about 2 weeks ago. Then a week ago I noticed my headlight has stopped coming on. All other electrical gauges and lights are still working. Is it a good idea to replace the headlight relay, and speed sensor, or is there another cause that these 2 things have stopped working

Not sure if the two are related. I'd check to see if there's voltage at the headlight connections first, then backtrack from there. Beyond that, I suggest going to a dealer for service.

Speedo and headlamp are on the same fuse, could be that simple. Hope that helps.

Behold the power of suggestion, my bike just started the same thing 2 days ago. I replaced the headlamp relay in the fuse block and so far problem has not returned.

I was reading on another forum about someone having a similar electrical problem. After they did some typical inspections of pinched wires and faulty fuses, they checked the battery terminals. The owner of the bike said one of the battery clamps was not firmly tightened to the post. They cleaned and tightened both posts and their problems went away.

If I remember correctly, the problem they were having was the speedometer was giving odd readings.
