I heard on the local news on 3CS [Colac radio station] [Vic] about fluoro vests for motorcycle riders
becoming law in October this year across Victoria, and thats all i have heard.
A google search and news pages failed to find anymore info.on the subject.
Does anyone else know anymore on this topic or am i starting to hear this in my old age?
It was the local news at 5 pm as well
Come October we will have dress like Santa Clause
to ride our Machines.
When is this rally,i am in.
I heard u can thank the Ulysses Club for that m8.
for finding the info.Trust our local news for getting it half right
or half wrong. At least we wont have get around like Santa Clause,
not yet anyway.
The Ulysses Member should have added that it is his view, and does not represent the views of other motorcyclists. The Ulysses Club also needs to remember that they do not speak for all clubs or motorcyclists.
I have a 2012 Sunset Red and Silver Cross Country. It is huge, 2 point 7 meters long, and just shy of 1 metre across at the fairing. Put in perspective, it is half a metre longer than my Hayabusa.
I have found that some car drivers cannot even see my hulking Cross Country so no hi-vis vest ain't going to help one iota.
But like the old "headlights wired permanently on" silver bullet, I can see that this hi-vis thing is only going to spread.
One Ulysses member does not represent the views of the club, and if it did I would disagree with them. I dont think a bit of feel-good fluoro will help the insulated dills in cars see us any better.
