i have the long one on my vegas much smoother, got it of ebay new

hi bensfarm ,yep the longer progressive works great and the way mine is adjusted still sits the same hieght as before -would highlly recomend them to owners who want a softer ride .   cheers

I was reading an article on just the standard shocks used on a Eight ball and they changed it to a Hammer Shock that had more travel due to the longer open spring and found that the bike handled better and had better suspension than the short.

My guess would be to stick with the long when you get the progressive.

thanks alan ,i went with the longer progressive shock -its much better ride than stock and with the preload set right it sits at the height as the stadard one. cheers

G'day Rick, did you consider Penske shocks as well before your decision? I am looking at a few mod's and am looking at those. Jim.
