I recently purchased an 01 v92c...absolutely love the bike. It only has 5000 miles an has always been garaged. My first problem is that the speedo quit working yesterday...to be honest I don't even know if it's digital or analog (I've always owned old hogs an I'm still trying to figure out this bike mechanically) Any ideas? The nearest Victory service shop is 3 hours away.
Also I'm looking for a Sissy bar/pad an brackets for my saddlebags...no luck anywhere...

So what stopped working on the speedo? MPH and Tach or all the digital functions.

The MPH was working one night..then the next morning it was dead. One strange thing is when I turn the key on it jumps up to about the 10mph hash...then nothing. Tach works fine although I'm missing a couple characters on the digital readout. Polaris wants $400 for another Speedo so I'm hoping it's something else....

You can find them on e-bay every now and then. Try disconnected your battery and reconnecting after a few minutes. I had this happen to me on mt 02 TCD once. Good luck

Also check to see if the speed sensor has disconnected from its perch near the front pulley. It should be positioned very close to the teeth on the pulley.

Also a weak battery can do weird things to your speedo. Have a test done on the battery. It may have been dead when you were going to buy and who you bought it from just put a quick charge in it. Vic batteries require a tickle charge for like 9 hours. I would test it before buying one, battery prices have gone crazy in the last year.
If I remember correctly I think disconnecting the wiring harness in the headlight bezel will do a "cold" boot but I think it causes your odo to zero. Do some research on it.

I appreciate the info..I'm still goofing with it every chance I get. We finally had a nice sunny week an I've been cruising.
Love this bike...she's a beast. I know the engine is more clunky etc. but she just feels raw when you open it up. Gun it from a stop sign and she jumps like a grasshopper. kinda feels like your riding a dirt bike.

A bad speed sensor is the most likely culprit. Not expensive and if you are at all mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. The '99 - '01 Victorys were prone to certain electrical/electronic problems and failures due to the underpowered 28-amp alternator that came from the factory. In '02, when Victory changed to the "Freedom" motor, the alternator was upgraded to 38-amps, which solved many issues. Fortunately, you can buy a 38-amp upgrade kit which includes both alternator and rectifier and solves most, if not all, electrical issues including dead battery, TPS failures, and erratic running issues. This upgrade can be done at home in your garage if you are comfortable with working on your own bike, but if anything more involved than an oil change makes you nervous, have your dealer do the install. BTW, you'll also need the gasket set for the left side engine cover as the upgrade does not include it.

A number of early Vic owners will tell you that you can get by just fine by keeping the bike on a Battery Tender whenever you're not riding, but trust me, the upgrade will pay for itself in longer battery and TPS life and less frustration.
